Genesis 1:1 is not included in Penn CAJS Halper 36 (Esther Genizah leaf with marginal correction).
This manuscript includes: The surviving lower portion of one parchment leaf, photographed on both sides, preserves mapped locations in Esther 2:13–16. The image OPenn labels 1r carries locations from 2:15–16, while the image labeled 1v carries 2:13–14; the catalogue prose reverses those side names, so physical navigation preserves the published image order and biblical lookup follows canonical order. The intended arrangement is one biblical column of about nine lines, but only six line regions survive on each side because the upper portion is missing. The Oriental square Hebrew text has Tiberian vowels and cantillation. On side 1v a marginal correction repeats “כי אם חפץ בה” from Esther 2:14; it is a textual correction, not Masora parva or magna. Loss of the upper parchment removes substantial text, while the remnant also has staining, abrasion, small tears, and holes.
